PROFESSIONAL BIOGRAPHY
Elif Ebru Sakar started music education at 9. Late after high school graduation as early as 18, she got her first commission from Meininger Trio which made her the youngest Turkish woman composer ever to be commissioned by an European artist (in 2012).
The chamber piece of her, called ‘Wind Touch’, for the Meininger Trio in 2013 which was later recorded in 2014 with the Bayerische Rundfunk, in Germany. ‘Wind Touch’ was also released as part of an album under the title of Mating Calls : Lockrufe, in September 2015.
In the same year, Elif Ebru Sakar’s ‘Wind Touch’ was the winner of the First Prize at the Zeliha Ozlenir Composition Competition in Ankara (2015), judged by Paul Patterson, a famous British Composer. In 2017, she was chosen by the Association of the Turkish Artists to study with Paul Patterson for the Composition Masterclass.
She got a second commission from the Meininger Trio. Her piece, called ‘Memories’ was recorded immediately after it's completion, in 2016. The album, bearing the same as the piece, was released in April 2018. Her piano recitals started before her graduation, up to present.

She graduated with High Honors from Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory
Composing and Conducting Department studied with Turkish - British Composer Sıdıka Özdil Gardner.
